Summer has officially begun and now there is a farmer’s market in every corner. I love going to a farmer’s market in this season because everything just looks so pretty. Oh and let’s not forget everything tastes so yummy especially the berries. Berries…berries…and some more berries….
So of course I ended up buying more blueberries than I actually needed. I had to do something with these tasty babies before they went bad. It’s summertime and 4th of July is right around the corner. What else could I do with something that is blue and be patriotic and the same time. This was the perfect reason to use my blueberries. I decided to make blueberry oat crumble tarts with homemade strawberry preserve. Who can resist this combination. Not me…was I dieting???? I like to tell myself this is a healthier (than usual) dessert since the main ingredient is blueberries! YEP..that sounds better 🙂 Now let’s bake, eat and celebrate!!!!!
