Like most people I love easter because of the pastel colors, adorable decorations and of course the quality time I get to spend with family (coordinating a scavenger hunt for the little rascals in our family….jk, I love them). It was that time of the year where I was able to let all the creative juices come out!! My sister and I had so much fun decorating these cupcakes and I know for a fact you will too. Let’s not forget to mention how tasty these cupcakes were. I could not resist and had three myself. Shhh… don’t tell anyone.
I would love to see what you can create with this delicious recipe. Please share your pictures on #figsontop. Enjoy!
All my years of baking I never thought beer would be a main ingredient for a cupcake until I came across the idea of beer cupcakes. I made this for a friend’s birthday who happens to be a huge beer enthusiast. Even though these cupcakes don’t give you a buzz (unfortunate), they do buzz themselves with their own beer capsules.
These taste delicious especially paired with the citrus cream cheese frosting and the capsule of beer to quench your thirst. The lime zest in the cupcake and the frosting make it out of this world delicious. I used Stella Artois since that’s what i had at home but Corona would work just as well. You can even use Bluemoon or any other citrusy beer (substitute the lime with an orange if using an orange flavored beer like Bluemoon).
Whether you love beer or just a good cupcake, I suggest you give this recipe a try. You will not regret it and I can assure you it is a definite crowd pleaser.
Recipe adapted from Sweet Tooth.
In honor of Valentine’s Day I decided to make all things RED. So here is a red velvet cupcake recipe with cream cheese frosting that my tasters claim was moist and soft with the perfect amount of sweetness. The cream cheese frosting creates a perfect balance with this cupcake.
I woke up Monday morning and was suddenly craving vanilla cupcakes. I did not want to give in to a quick box cupcake mix so I opened up my Pinterest app on my phone and started to search for a recipe that called my name. Sure enough, after a couple of clicks here and there, I found what I was looking for. I took a quick glance at the listed ingredients and knew it was the one especially since I had been wanting to try using my new cake flour. So, as you might guess, I was excited to try this out.
